something is different. Did you know nearly 1 in every 8 women are diagnosed
with breast cancer at some point in their life, and about 1% of men are

Less than 10% of breast cancers are hereditary but there are risk
factors that increase your chance of getting breast cancer. Unchangeable risk
factors and lifestyle related risk factors. Yes, there are ways we can prevent breast cancer.
8 Tips to reduce your risk:
1.
As mentioned in the article "12 Tips for Good Breast
Health," Practice Peace! Studies show stress increases your risk for
breast cancer.
2.
Exercise. For starters,
exercise reduces stress. It also reduces the size of fat cells
descreasing the amount of estrogen produced by the body.
3.
Amp up Your Blueberries. Blueberries
and dark grapes are high in antioxidants.

Get Your Z's. Staying
up late can result in greater exposure to light at night, which suppresses
melatonin levels. That can be a problem because research suggests melatonin may
help regulate estrogen and high estrogen levels increase your risk of breast
cancer.
6.
Maintain a Healthy Weight. Increased
weight = increased estrogen levels.
7.
Folic Acid. Not eating enough
folate, the naturally occurring form of folic acid, is linked with impaired
ability to repair DNA. And damaged DNA has, in turn, been linked to cancer.
